The National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (NITRD), New Delhi, India, is an institute of national recognition dedicated to combating tuberculosis, HIV, pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, and allied disciplines. Established with the vision of providing comprehensive clinical care, advanced training, and path-breaking research, the Institute has been a leader in addressing the country’s respiratory health challenges for over seven decades.

NITRD is committed to excellence in patient care while nurturing the next generation of medical professionals through its postgraduate teaching programs in Thoracic Surgery, Pulmonary Medicine, and Microbiology. With a nearly 470-bed facility, cutting-edge diagnostic services, and specialized clinical units, the Institute continues to set benchmarks in quality care.
